A simple, fun municipal Rhode Island track just 15 minutes from downtown Providence, this short (6,161 yards) par-70 Rhode Island golf course is a popular destination for novice golfers and weekend hackers. One reviewer calls it the best value in the state. It's a three-star recipient with green fees in the $35-$38 range.

This four-star, top-value Rhode Island course is about 30 miles from Providence, yet well worth for visitors to the area. Designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva, this Providence golf course opened in 1993. Since then it's drawn praise from all over the Northeast. The course measures 6,832 yards, and features tight tee shots, tree lined fairways and outstanding course conditions. Green fees are a steal at $25-$35.

This historical course, opened in 1932, was designed by New England golf course architecture legend Donald Ross. Triggs Memorial Golf Course a links-style layout in an urban setting, featuring strategically placed bunkers and long, tight fairways.
